Hailing from the Bay Area, Kayla moved to Southern California to study journalism at Biola University in 2016. During her time at Biola, she worked with the university newspaper for two years, originally starting as the Arts & Entertainment writer and eventually becoming the Arts & Entertainment editor her senior year.
In addition to her journalism experience, Kayla also has years of marketing and communications experience under her belt, having served internships at the Make-A-Wish Foundation as well as Biola’s Center for Marriage & Relationships. Upon graduating from Biola last spring, she has served as Mark 1’s Marketing Coordinator, where she has overseen both business-to-business and consumer-direct marketing initiatives. Her role at Mark 1 has included developing online courses and trainings, streamlining email marketing support, and boosting the overall online presence of the company.
